Using vintage wallpaper to make clay surface impressions!

Another way to make impressions on clay is by using textured wallpapers. In this case I used vintage wallpaper. So easy to make. Just roll out your slab of clay, lay the wallpaper on the slab and rollover the slab again with your rolling pin, pull back the wallpaper and cut out your plate. Shape your plate into your desired shape. For these I only wanted a simple flat plate with the edges turned up.

Let plate dry > bisque firing > apply glaze > glaze firing. Give it a go!
