Here is the plate after firing and glazing. The clay is BRT and the glaze is Mayco Elements EL 131. The firing is earthenware.

      • Mmmm…how about getting some vinyl fabric from a sewing shop, then cutting it into rectangles, then along one side make narrow strands so that it looks like a comb. If you make a few of these and then kind of lay them on top of each other in haphazard ways, then lay slab of clay on to it and using a rolling pin roll over the top. You could then fire the piece if you like the pattern and use this as a mold to make more. But first I would look online at the various patterns you can get. You might be able to buy something that gives you this effect.
