Using a cake tin to make a pot!

Here is another way to make a pot.

Step 1 – Pick up an interesting cake tin from your local Op shop.

Step 2 – Place plastic on the inside of the cake tin. This will prevent the clay sticking to the tin and allows you to easily pull out the pot from the tin.

Step 3 – Roll out a slab of clay and place on the inside. Press the clay into the shape of the tin. Add extra pieces of clay if required and press in and smooth over.

    • Hi
Oh thank you. Lovely to hear from you! You have made my day seeing your comment.
Your bonsai pots and matching trays are really special. Wonderful colours and textures.
      See you around.

  1. Hello, fellow potter. Isn’t it wonderful to have a passion for mud. Well, what I really wanted to say was “thank you” for letting me know you liked the post from my novel, “Desperate Voyage.”
Thanks again and Aloha – pjs/
