For the slab pot below I used Mayco White glaze FN-001, but fired to stoneware at 1280 degrees. The clay is BRT. I like this combination because the fleck from the clay comes through the glaze when fired to stoneware temperature.

Have you ever used a redish/blackish glaze with this clay body?
No I have not. Have you? I have to experiment with some different colours fired to stoneware with this clay. Will put up on blog when I get around to it.

I’m currently hooked on a glaze called Randy’s Red . . . I use it as a dip in our pottery studio, which is in a recreation center. However, I think it’s very close to Amaco’s Ancient Jasper glaze.
It would look fantastic on this clay body I think.
